Hunka Hunka Churnin' Love Shirts & Gifts An 1800s engraving of a woman using a traditional dasher style butter churn with a caption adapted from Elvis Presley "A hunka hunka churnin' love." If you read Mother Earth News rather than Martha Stewart these items are for you. Gypsy Tambourine Girl Shirts & Gifts This is a high resolution scan of a beautiful steel plate engraving. The original painting by artist Pierre Louis de Coninck (French, 1828-1910) was later made into an engraving by H. Bourne. It was published by Gebbie & Barrie. The gypsy girl and her tambourine look great on apparel items, prints, mugs and more. Silsby Steam Fire Engine Shirts & Gifts This reproduction of an 1859 engraving shows a horse-drawn steam fire engine built Silsby, Mynderse & Company. It makes a great gift for a collector or fan of antique fire companies.
Gatling Battery Gun Shirts & Gifts This is an 1866 version of Richard Gatling's automatic gun. This one used metal cartridges which was an improvement on the Civil War version. Want a different caption, like "The Welcome Wagon"? Send us an email. Antique Bicycle Shirts & Gifts Here is an antique bicycle with an unusual side-by-side wheel configuration. It also uses both arm and leg power. The added caption is "This is how I roll!"
Velocipede Trike Shirts & Gifts This old bicycle combines features of the famous penny farthing bike with a modern recumbent trike design. It appears to use both arm and leg power too. The caption is "Born to be wild." Roller Coaster Warning Shirts & Gifts This crazy contraption is an actual patent illustration from the 1860s. There were many new innovations in bicycling in that era and this inventor must have thought they'd make a great carnival ride. A modern theme park roller coaster warning has been added "Warning! For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride."
Skeleton Shirts & Gifts Andreas Vesalius (1514 - 1564) was an anatomist, physician, and author of one of the most influential books on human anatomy, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Workings of the Human Body). Vesalius is often referred to as the founder of modern human anatomy. This skeleton leans on a monument bearing the inscription "Vivitur ingenio, caetera mortis erunt!" which means "Genius lives on, all else is mortal." Victorian Carousel Engraving Shirts & Gifts The same merry-go-round of ladies and gentlemen on bicycles with a different caption, "This is how we roll!"
